A summer vacation in Colorado is a great way to get out and experience the great outdoors. The Aspen Meadows Resort offers plenty of ways to do so. You'll find exciting activities for the most adventurous of people, as well as plenty for those who prefer to take life a little slower. Families and people of all ages will be able to find a suitable adventure on our 40 acres and the surrounding area
Complimentary bike rentals for our guests afford an opportunity to explore Colorado on wheels, while miles of trails also offer spectacular views.
ASPEN MOUNTAIN SUMMER ACTIVITIES
The Silver Queen Gondola travels 2.5 miles and more than 3,000 vertical feet from the heart of Aspen to the 11,212-ft. summit of Aspen Mountain. At the top, bask in the spectacular panoramic views of Aspen and the Elk Mountain Range, dine at the Sundeck, hike, and discover adventure. Purchase your tickets at the Gondola Office at the base of Aspen Mountain.
Ride the Silver Queen Gondola to spectacular views, cooler temperatures, dining at the Sundeck and on-mountain adventure. Activities include Climbing Wall, Eurobungy Trampoline, Yoga Hikes, FREE ACES Guided Nature Tours, FREE Kids' Activities, FREE Music Concerts, FREE Disc Golf and more.
Saturday Classical Music on the Mountain-FREE

Relax at 11,000 feet in a glorious meadow overlooking Mt. Hayden and take in the beauty as students of the world-renowned Aspen Music Festival & School perform a repertoire of their own choosing. Bring a picnic (available at the Sundeck) or a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE performances (with the purchase of a gondola ticket), located just a short walk out Richmond Ridge from the top of the gondola. Performances begin at 1 p.m.!
Bluegrass Sundays-FREE
(with the purchase of a gondola ticket)
A favorite among locals, Sundays feature top bluegrass musicians from around Colorado performing in this ideal Rocky Mountain setting. The FREE (with the purchase of a gondola ticket), open-air concerts are from noon to 3 p.m. outside the Sundeck (on top of Aspen Mountain). Hot Air Ballooning

Fly Fishing

Golf
Award-winning architect Jim Engh's unique design of the Snowmass Club Golf Course pays tribute to the rugged heritage of ranching families that rooted here over the last century. This 7,008 yard course features an undulating landscape with seven different grasses including bent greens, blue grass fairways and native Colorado mix, creating a one-of-a-kind "Irish links course with mountain flair". Our PGA-certified golf professionals, caddies, practice area and full service golf offer plenty of opportunities to improve your game, or keep up with the latest equipment.
Hiking
With over 1,000 trails in the Aspen/Snowmass area ranging from beginner to advance, your map will serve as the gateway to some of Colorado’s best alpine hiking trails. These hiking excursions will take guests through meadows of wild flowers, along winding rivers and over geological landmarks. Take advantage of learning more about the flora, fauna and geology of our area by indulging in a guided tour of the Maroon Bells and Crater Lake.
Horseback Riding
With awe-inspiring views of Mount Daly and the Elk Mountain Range, explore the wilderness by horseback and enjoy the nature that surrounds you. From real cattle drives to jumping and dressage events, there are a number of options available for both beginning and experienced riders.
